Glenn Culpepper Joins Summit Materials

Summit Materials (Summit) announces that Glenn Culpepper has joined the company as its Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Culpepper brings over 21 years of heavy building materials experience to the company. His experience in finance, operations and the capital markets is an excellent fit for the company’s high growth business model and will further strengthen Summit’s management team.  Tony Keenan, one of Summit’s founding members, will become Senior Vice-President of Finance.

Summit Materials Announces Acquistion of Kansas Heavy Materials Company

April 16, 2010 -- Summit Materials LLC, a building materials company, today announced that it has concluded the acquisition of Cornejo & Sons, Inc. based in Wichita, Kansas. Cornejo & Sons, formed in 1952 by Jess Cornejo engages in the production of sand and gravel, asphalt and ready mix concrete, as well as paving, construction, recycling and C&D landfill services. Cornejo & Sons’ long history of providing exceptional products and services and strategic location in Summit’s Kansas regional platform complements Summit’s growing heavy materials business. Summit Materials Announces Acquisition of Hinkle Contracting, Inc

Washington, DC, February 1, 2010 - Summit Materials announces the acquisition of Hinkle Contracting Corporation based in Paris, Kentucky, which will form the second regional platform for Summit Materials following its first platform acquisition of Hamm, Inc. in September of 2009. Hinkle Contracting is an aggregates, asphalt, paving, concrete block and construction company which was founded by the Hinkle family over 65 years ago. The company operates 12 aggregate and 17 asphalt facilities and has over 250 million tons of limestone reserves. Hinkle Contracting's existing management team will remain with the company.
